Use this page to identify the government office responsible for an official Bourbon County record. We cannot fulfill those requests ourselves, but the routes below distinguish court files, sheriff reports, statewide criminal-history reports, and other records maintained in Paris or by Kentucky agencies.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private reference site cannot retrieve an official record, perform an official background check, change a record, or receive an expungement filing. Those services must be requested directly from the appropriate Bourbon County or Kentucky government custodian.

Need an Official Record?

For commonly requested Bourbon County records, begin with the custodian that created or maintains the document:

  • Police and incident reports: request the record from the law-enforcement agency that created it; Paris Police records route through the City of Paris custodian
  • Court case files: consult the criminal court case guide or contact the Bourbon Circuit Court Clerk, 310 Main Street, Paris, KY 40361, 859-987-2624, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Expungement: obtain the required certification through the Kentucky Court of Justice, then file the proper petition with the clerk for the court where the Bourbon County charge was filed
  • Arrest, booking, and jail records: ask the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office about sheriff-created reports; booking or custody material may be held by the detention custodian
  • Official statewide court reports: order through Kentucky Court of Justice FastCheck or contact the AOC Records Unit at 800-928-6381
  • Fingerprint-supported criminal-history records: contact the Kentucky State Police Criminal Identification and Records Branch at 502-227-8700

Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The office does not publish a separately named records division, copy-fee schedule, or guaranteed turnaround, so call before visiting and identify the incident date, location, involved name, and report number if known.
